My Favorite Clients

Throughout my coaching career over the last decade plus, I have successfully helped thousands of people from all walks of life get out of their own way and achieve their healthiest and happiest lives. They don’t just successfully lose weight by mastering the behaviors that form their own secret recipe for success — they transform across all areas of their life.

I’ve found that I do my best work with those with whom I have the strongest common connection.

If you are —

  • A small business owner (me too!)

  • An organizational leader (me too!)

  • A professional practitioner

  • A key staff member of your work world

Chances are, we’ll work well together!

You’ve created success in some shape or form in your career — now it’s time to round out your team with the support and expertise you need to do the same with your health.

My ideal clients can relate to the following:

  • You’re in your 40’s, 50’s or 60’s.

  • You have a significant amount of weight to lose (40-50+ pounds).  Why this number? I was there at one time too!

  • You have a big, compelling reason why you need to work on your health now such as:

  • Being your best for starting your “second act” or “third act.”  You aspire to be Dick Van Dyke or the late Betty White in their late 90’s someday!

  • Seeing the ghost of your future health self in family or friends and it has been a “wake up call.”

  • Realizing that extra pounds could be adding to your risk of serious illness.

  • You’re ready, willing and able to go beyond the diet fads and short-term fixes. You know they aren’t the ticket and are ready to roll up your sleeves and embrace the work it takes to be your best self.  It is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

If this is you, you’re in the right place!

If this isn’t you, that’s okay as at times my work and style resonate well with others, and I am always happy to connect and see if there’s a match.

My Coaching Philosophy

I recognize we’re just getting to know each other through my site, so I figured you might want to know what kind of coach I am.

My late Dad when he was teaching me to drive would always say “just remember, you’re always in control.” It’s the same with coaching.

Imagine that coaching together would be like taking a planned road trip. You’re going to be the driver and I’m going to be there riding shotgun. I won’t tell you what to do, but I’ll be there right by your side to help you get from Point A to Point B without getting lost along the way. If you accidentally get off at the wrong exit, I’ll make sure that you get right back on the correct on ramp and on your way.

In addition, you get to choose the speed at which you drive on this trip on any given day. You can be a speed demon if you like, you can maintain the speed limit, you can decide to slow it down to a crawl or even pull over for a rest stop.

It’s all up to you!

I’ll also ask you to drop certain words and phrases from your vocabulary when it comes to your weight loss.

Among them are: “I can’t”, “I have to”, “only” and “guilty”:

  • I can’t have chocolate” or “I can’t eat carbs

  • I have to weight myself each day” or “I have to do squats

  • I only walked once this week because I felt guilty losing time with my husband.”

  • I blew it and ate pizza” or “I blew it and didn’t work out today.

  • There are no foods or food groups that are ever completely off limits, no required “weigh-ins,” and no exercise that is mandatory.

  • There is no blowing it or guilt. I will never judge you—it’s just a different choice you made.

  • And there is no “only” because it is my firm belief that something is always better than nothing!

Our coaching sessions will be enjoyable, fun conversations where the agenda is always yours. While weight loss and your health are serious topics, I have a very down-to-earth approach and do my best to “keep it light” (also as my Dad used to say).

So, don’t be surprised if we end up laughing quite a bit and you just can’t wait to speak again!
